Woodwork Nature Scene by Sleepwalker1803 Woodwork Nature Scene by Sleepwalker1803
My latest woodwork! :iconproudplz: I do things like this for a while now, but I never uploaded anything. But I'm so proud about this one, I just have to brag a bit! :D It's made of plywood and I sawed it all by myself! :)
My grandfather did such works and I always found them AMAZING! I decided to do my best to make this heritage live on!
This kind of woodwork was first used in the "Erzgebirge" (Ore Mountains) to make winter decoration for the dark time of the year. Often lighted with candles or (now) electric lights, they should bring light and comfort in the cold winter evenings. :)

:iconyay-plz: Vielen lieben Dank!

This is AMAZING!!!  Please make more!  Have you thought about adding some color or pyrography to it?  If I had this in my hands it would take all I had to not color it.  Oooo I love!

Thank you SO MUCH, my dear! I'll not color this one, because I love the pattern of the wood so much, but I'll make a colored background and frame to place it on. And I made several more! I'll uploade :iconmoarplz: of them soon! :hooray:

Not really. They are a lot of work and I'm doing this for fun and to have nice presents for my friends and family. :) During christmas, we have tons of such stuff here in germany on sale, but mostly laser-cut chinese stuff for a few bucks but even they are more perfect, than I could ever do it by hand.
