Description

Welcome dear friends, watchers and viewers to the second part of my "The Journey" project! I'm so happy, I can finally take you on this trip and I hope you'll enjoy it big time! :woohoo:

This time, I'll make some things a little different from the previous project. I'll include links to music to get you in the right mood for reading and to enhance the atmosphere of picture and text. I'll also start including my wonderful friends and watchers in the story from the first episode on! Artists, that inspired me, watcher or not, will also have short appearances. More and more brave followers will join us in the course of the story. We'll see if everybody makes it to the end!

I hope, you'll enjoy all this - please take your time for the whole experience! And if you don't like to read the story, I hope you'll like the pictures at least. :) So start the soundtrack and lets begin! :hooray: It's a pretty long story, so please excuse any typos ...

CHAPTER ONE - Prologue (AUDIO: [link])

Aaah, what a morning! I stand on the cliff and gaze in the valley underneath me. Nature in all its beauty! I think it's time to wake the others ... I stick my head in the tent right behind me and shout: "Wake up you little sleepyheads! Rise and shine! This pictures don't take themself!" On this very special field trip, I share this tent with my friends, that I met here at deviantArt. The zipper on the first sleeping cabin opens and Carl [link] appears. "Good morning, Eric!" he said with a smile and immediately begins to cook coffee for us. Artists need ther caffeine really bad! "Oh man, could you please stop to raise hell out there?!" With this words, the second bunk opens and L. Zavala [link] climbs out of his sleeping bag. "Mornin' guys!" he mutters as he grabs his cup. A bit tired out he asks "Where is our 'grande dame of HDR'?". I peek careful in her sleeping cabin and find it empty. "I have no idea. I thought she'd be still asleep." In this very moment, our beloved friend Petra [link] rushes in the tent like the whirlwind she is. "At last! I was concerned, you guys never would wake up! I'm up for ages!". She grabs her coffee and smiles. I raise my cup to salute my dearest freinds in art: "I think, this adventure can begin!".

CHAPTER TWO - Wicked Things (AUDIO: [link])

We are in the woods, enjoying the gorgeous weather and do, for what we came here - shoot great pictures! It is a marvelous day! We wander through this maginificent landscape and take a million photographs. Carl has a unique sense for motives and needs just one shot to get things done. Petra and I take a little longer to make our exposures for HDR processing. L. follows us unobtrusive and tries to capture us for his portaits. Artists at work! All forenoon long, we explore the environment, share equipment, ideas and knowledge. We help and give useful tips to each other. It is simply wonderful!

Several hours later, we arrive at the tent. Exhausted but happy, we prepare for lunch. I approach L. and ask "Hey dude, let me take a look at the portraits you made of me!". "Sure thing!" he answers. We sit down and he grabs his Canon. His face petrifies. "Man, my card is empty! What the heck?!". Strange indeed! I grab my cam and check it out. "Empty as well, man!". Baffled we stare at our blank screens, as Carl rushes in the tent. "Guys, my cam is broken! It hasn't taken a single shot!" he says. Petra joins our unhappy circle: "Mine too, gentlemen! Not one picture on my Nikon!". We stand stunned in our tent. This can't be a coincidence! I say nothing, because I am too perplexed. I ask myself 'What is going on here?!' And it will not be the last time I ask myself this question ...
